One of Nikes most beloved sneakers of the season has been the M2K Tekno, the newest model and successor to the Nike Air Monarch IV. As the trend in sneakers has moved to a chunkier, 'dad' style shoe, Nike has updated their most popular shoe of all time and created the M2K Tekno.
A modern, comfortable and strangely sleek sneaker that has been worn from runways to mud infested festivals worldwide.
Featuring an updated midsole and outsole, added and emphasised upper panels and extensive over-branding, the M2K Tekno is a must have sneaker.
For this release, Nike have graced us with the M2K Tekno SP (Special Project) in Sequoia, Atmosphere Grey and Linen.
This isn't just a new colour but a full re-tooling of the model and has brought materials together that Nike hasn't combined before.
The Atmosphere Grey pair features a soft nubuck suede mid-guard, corduroy panels, open mesh and woven mesh toe and mid foot panels. A Rubberised toe-guard and Swoosh a plenty. A fully lined Terry cloth sockliner and an updated insole for comfort.
Contrasting this sneaker is the Sequoia Green pair, which uses some of the same materials such as the Terry cloth liner, rubberised panels and canvas. But swaps the rest for longer hair suede and cotton twill panels.
Last but definitely not least is the Linen|Ale Brown colourway. Which features a soft suede and woven upper that gives the shoe a more textured and 'earthy' look. This colourway features a gum outsole to stand out from the rest.
The M2K Tekno SP is a testament to Nike's innovation and its push to create never before seen material combinations.
