Now known as Desa Potato Head, the Seminyak property runs on a zero-waste policy, and the same idea runs through what it makes. The clothing is produced in Indonesia with local makers and coloured with natural dyes instead of synthetic pigment, so no two tie-dye or ikat pieces come out exactly alike. Alongside it is Wasted, a homeware range designed with London designer Max Lamb and made in Bali from the resort’s own waste: flat-pack chairs pressed from recycled plastic caps, Styroshell trays made from polystyrene and oyster shells, and tableware made using broken glass.
