The ASICS product team has reimagined a series of ASICS footwear offerings that draw design inspiration from the concept of “Retro Futurism.” For this capsule, they also explored the duality between archived fashion silhouettes and Japanese workwear.

The product range is broken out into two categories: Future Tech and Sustainability—each exploring the silhouettes from a retro meets modern lens.

The FN2-S GEL CONTEND ™5 sneaker fuses the narratives between street style aesthetics and commute to casual running functionality. This shoe retains the traditional synthetic overlays while reworking the original design with a no sew quarter panel, a modified toecap, and sustainable materials throughout the upper. Layered with AMPLIFOAM™ cushioning in the midsole, this shoe is also offset with a layer of GEL ™technology in the heel for advanced comfort.
