Exclusive release: GmbH x Asics Tiger

German designer GmbH is set to release an exclusive collaboration with Asics in the coming weeks, a partnership which was first debuted at Spring Summer 2019 Paris Fashion week earlier this year.

The collection takes the form of the retro Gel Kayano 5 however in honor of GmbH’s rebellious origins, the brand puts an original, pastel spin on the OG colour scheme.

 A pack of three monochromatic colour-ways will be released and includes:

 Sea shell, a cross between beige, salmon and gold. 

 

Lichen rock, a mossy, pastel green hue

 

and Triple white

 Established in Berlin in 2016, GmbH uses its luxury status to flaunt the use of sustainable materials in their collections, which is sourced from dead stock materials produced at a high-end factory in Milan.

GmbH’s design of the retro model honors this with the use of nubuck, patent and smooth leather on the shoes upper.

A translucent cage on the midsole is visible from above and either side of the shoe, as well as signature, minimal GmbH branding on plastic tabs on the heel paneling.

Finally, the shoe is finished with a signature GEL sole to match its GEL branding on the sole.
