Introducing: Tekla
We warmly welcome Tekla to Above the Clouds’ ever-evolving brand list. Established in Copenhagen in 2017, Tekla was born from a desire to bring modernity and freedom of expression to home goods.
Created with a clean, straightforward and minimal approach to design, their range of homeware spans bedding, sleepwear, bathroom and kitchen universes. Elevated and functional pieces lift daily routines into acts of self-care, with bedsheets, pyjamas and towelling inspired by the junctions between art, architecture and the new feeling that seasons bring.
Alongside a commitment to enhancing ordinary routines, Tekla recognises its responsibility to mitigate the environmental impact of production. Product longevity is considered at every manufacturing stage when starting the design process with material selection, then texture and aesthetics. In the summer of 2023, Tekla was awarded B Corp certification, a testament to their commitment to sustainable business practices.
Tekla uses 100% organic cotton to create bedding and towelling, with long stable fibres that ensure high quality, function, and durability, while reducing environmental impact. Their cotton is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, ensuring that their products meet the highest environmental and social standards.
