Last Thursday, 16 February, we were proud to host the launch of the legendary music brand Roland’s new Aira Compact Series and an exclusive, limited-edition collaboration with Sydney label & friend of the store, Pseushi.
Melding inspiration from Roland’s latest Aira Compact range and their extensive contribution to new and emerging music genres, Pseushi’s Wesley Chiang applied his graphic design expertise to a series of signature tees. The focus: to highlight the emerging and boundary-pushing subcultures that both brands champion while staying true to Pseushi’s signature reference-heavy style.
Keeping on the theme of celebrating emerging music styles and artists, Sydney-based electronic duo 700-Feel (@700feel) accompanied the launch with a performance. Shot by photographer Sly Morikawa (@sly__morikawa), the Pseushi x Roland campaign sees the duo in the graphic tees, with them, Roland’s new Aira Compacts; the T-8 Beat Machine, J-6 Chord Synthesizer and E-4 Voice Tweaker.
The Roland Aira Compact series celebrates Roland’s extensive history in music technology in a compact and ready-to-use format. Creating genre-defining sounds, the entry-point series features easy-to-learn controls, inspiring sounds and creative tools that allow young and aspiring creatives the freedom to create and produce with ease.
Thank you to Roland, Pseushi, 700-Feel and all those in attendance. The Pseushi x Roland capsule is available exclusively online and in-store at Above the Clouds Store with the Roland Aira Compact series in-store and online for a limited time only.
